Pampering with a Purpose: Spa Boutique for a Cure Celebrates its First Annual Event!

January 31, 2006 (Los Angeles, CA)—L.A. fashionistas, stylists, and media celebrated the first-ever Spa Boutique for a Cure on January 28 at the exclusive Spider Club in Hollywood, indulging in spa treatments and shopping while giving back to breast & ovarian cancer charities. Celebrity stylist/top model Lesa Amoore and actress Jaqueline Fleming co-hosted the red carpet event, which brought out stars Res, Courtney Hansen (Overhaulin´), AJ Barrera, Melvin Jackson Jr. and Brandon Fobbs, both of The Wire. Special musical guests, including Nadine Zahr and Adrianne, performed during the afternoon, while actor Carlos Ramirez spun an eclectic mix of tunes at the DJ booth.

A luxurious gift basket from Jaqua was auctioned off for charity, along with gift baskets from Lunchology and Arbonne International. Guests sipped on complimentary cocktails from Dubonnet and pink lemonade H.E.R. energy drinks. Angelina´s Catering served up bruschetta and other tasty treats, and Debra King Cakes provided sweet treats, including delicious bite-sized lemon, chocolate, and caramel tarts and brownies. Adore Shop magazine, Southern California´s only glossy magazine devoted to shopping, was on hand to cover the afternoon of relaxation, shopping, and giving back. Stephanie Frasco, content editor for whatcelebswear.com, conducted a POD cast video segment where she interviewed celebrity guests and designers.

EM & Co boutique, JLee Couture , Pro-Girl , San Damian jewelry, C. French Designs knits, Medoni handbags, and many other L.A. designers and beauty companies sold their goods to a steady stream of shoppers. Guests also had the chance to unwind with relaxing massages, acupuncture, and beauty makeovers which included eyelash extensions and makeup application.

Guests didn´t go home empty-handed—they took home huge pink and blue gift bags filled with product from My Little Pretty, Jaqua, Adore Shop, Rough Hand Repair, Raw Beauty, Klean Bath & Body, Lunchology, Spa Magazine, CA Boom, POOL trade show, and more.
